Government Designates Wednesday As A Public Holiday.

Dantiye conveyed that the governor encouraged the populace to take this opportunity to contemplate the teachings of the esteemed Prophet and integrate them into their daily lives.
Additionally, the commissioner urged the residents of the state to earnestly pray for peace and prosperity to prevail, not only within the state but also throughout Nigeria.
He remarked, “We beseech Allah to guide us through these challenging times and bestow upon us a bountiful harvest during both the rainy and forthcoming dry farming seasons.”
In another development, the government led by President Bola Tinubu has officially designated the 2nd of October, 2023, as a public holiday in honor of Nigeria’s 63rd independence anniversary.
This declaration was announced through a statement issued by Dr. Oluwatoyin Akinlade, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior.
Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Minister of Interior, conveyed this decision on behalf of the federal government in Abuja. However, he also emphasized the government’s ongoing efforts to confront the various challenges and obstacles until relief is achieved.
