Various online sources had circulated reports alleging that the governor was planning to go back to Germany for additional treatment.
In response, Governor Akeredolu, represented by his chief press secretary, Richard Olatunde, dismissed these claims as “fabrications promoted by frustrated politicians who are still nursing the wounds of their unfulfilled expectations.”
Akeredolu emphasized that the circulating story is “completely groundless, lacking any factual basis, and a product of the ill-intentioned minds of certain politicians.
” He further pointed out that while the citizens of the state celebrated the governor’s safe return from his medical leave, some of these troubled politicians were experiencing sleepless nights filled with regret over their failed schemes.
The governor stressed his administration’s commitment to addressing the legitimate concerns of the state’s residents, highlighting that development remains a top priority for his leadership.
