In a statement released by his spokesperson, Ahmed Idris, and disclosed to the media on Sunday, the governor expressed gratitude to the State Assembly members, particularly commending the speaker’s leadership, for their diligence in promptly passing the bills. Governor Idris underscored the administration’s commitment to upholding the “rule of law” and affirmed the executive’s preparedness to implement the enacted legislation.
During the ceremony, the governor implored the State House to collaborate with the executive in advancing the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the state. He stated, “May I at this juncture, urge the house to assist the executive in improving the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) in the state.”
Earlier in the proceedings, Hon. Muhammad Usman, the Speaker of the State Assembly, lauded the governor’s rapid development initiatives within a brief timeframe. He assured the governor of the assembly’s unwavering commitment to supporting and collaborating with the executive branch to ensure efficient and effective governance.
