The purpose of the event was to seek divine intervention against escalating insecurity amid the backdrop of economic challenges faced by the state.

During his address, the governor emphasized the necessity for the people’s support and collaboration. He urged the populace to provide crucial information to security agencies to identify and apprehend the terrorists and criminals responsible for causing distress in the state.

He stated, “Our intention is not to grant amnesty to terrorists, but we stand ready to accept them if they genuinely choose the path of peace and lay down their arms.”

Governor Radda highlighted that the event was not solely focused on prayers; it also aimed to empower religious leaders to transmit the message to their respective communities, facilitating the resolution of the ongoing security concerns in the state and across the nation.

He asserted, “Collective efforts from each member of the public are vital in furnishing us with essential information, aiding us in identifying the movements and associations of these terrorists and their collaborators.”

Governor Radda also urged the residents to offer prayers for peace, particularly in Nigeria and the broader West African region, following the recent coup d’etat in Niger Republic.

He expressed the hope that divine intervention would lead to a peaceful resolution without violence.

In his statement, he relayed a message from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, emphasizing the importance of peaceful coexistence not only between Nigeria and Niger but also across the West African region and the globe.

He highlighted that the intention was not to exacerbate tensions in Niger Republic but that the military junta there had hindered communication with the ECOWAS delegation from Nigeria.
