Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has extended an invitation to the opposition, specifically Isah Ashiru, urging them to collaborate with his administration in propelling the state towards greater development. Expressing his desire for a collective effort, Governor Sani stated, “Now that the election has been affirmed by the Supreme Court, I would like to call on Isah Ashiru to join hands with me to move Kaduna State forward. That is why I want to invite him and any other citizen of Kaduna State who has something to offer to come, let’s work together in the spirit of democracy.”
Acknowledging the legal processes undertaken by Isah Ashiru, Governor Sani commended the opposition candidate for embracing the judiciary to address his concerns. Reflecting on the significance of democratic principles, Sani remarked, “I want to use this opportunity to thank my brother and friend, Isah Ashiru, at least for embracing the legal process and ventilating his anger by going to the Supreme Court at this critical time.”
Highlighting the positive impact of the Supreme Court’s unanimous decision, Governor Sani expressed his gratitude, stating, “Today it is clear that the Supreme Court unanimously affirmed my election. Of course, the judgment was extremely sound.” He emphasized the role played by such legal processes in deepening democracy and upholding the rule of law.
