The Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta States, Alhaji Daud Akinola, urgently appealed to the Federal Government on Friday to provide necessary assistance through the Oyo State Government for the victims of the recent explosion in Ibadan. Expressing concern over the alleged involvement of foreigners in the explosion, Akinola, accompanied by other Islamic leaders, visited the blast site. Speaking to BUSHRADIOGIST Online, Akinola called on the Federal Government and President Bola Tinubu to intervene and support the victims. He emphasized the need for swift assistance and urged the government to channel help through Governor Makinde.

Akinola also called for a thorough investigation into the activities of illegal miners suspected of storing explosive materials in the residential estate. Expressing his hope that such a tragic situation would not recur in Ibadan, Oyo State, or Nigeria, he praised Governor Seyi Makinde for his prompt response to the incident.

During his visit, Akinola was accompanied by notable figures, including the Iyalaje Adeen of Yorubaland, Alhaja Sidikat Aderibigbe; Asiwaju Adeen of Oyo State, Alhaji Mutiu Onimalu; Babasale Musulumi of Ibadanland, Chief Nureni Akanbi; the state Chairman of the Muslim Community, Chief Bayo Oyero, Babaloja General, Alhaji Yekeen Abass, and several other Muslim leaders.
