The governor acknowledged citizens’ constitutional right to voice concerns about the nation’s socio-economic conditions but warned against actions or statements that could jeopardize public safety and peace. He expressed concern that some threats might be motivated by attempts to disrupt law and order.

During a courtesy visit from the House of Representatives Committee on Public Assets and Special Duties, led by Chairman Ademorin Kuye, Sanwo-Olu highlighted the importance of constructive dialogue. He praised the President Bola Tinubu administration for its commitment to addressing citizens’ concerns through engagement, emphasizing the need for continued dialogue to maintain national stability and strengthen democratic governance.

Sanwo-Olu stated, “In light of the ongoing agitations and plans for nationwide protests, it is crucial to respect citizens’ rights to express their concerns.
