The Governor made these remarks during his visit to the railway terminus in Maiduguri, the state capital.
In a statement released by his media aide, Isa Gusau, Zulum highlighted that the state government was not informed about the relocation until residents intercepted the movement of the coaches.
He emphasized the intention to pursue all legal avenues to prevent the transfer of infrastructure intended for the state to any other location.
The Governor explained that a few months ago, some rolling stock was moved to other states without the knowledge of security authorities and the Borno State Government.
He further stated that the recent relocation was conducted without proper consultation and in an unprofessional manner by the Nigerian Railway Corporation.
Governor Zulum urged the local community, which recently protested against this development, to remain calm and avoid taking matters into their own hands. He assured them that no rail infrastructure would be moved from the state without following the rule of law.
