A graduate of Nasarawa State University, Dee Arewa, has recounted a painful experience where his brother mocked him while he was trying to emphasize the value of education and convince him to pay for his son’s NECO exam form.

Dee shared the emotional moment in response to a post by tech entrepreneur Babangida Ruma, who highlighted how some uneducated individuals take pleasure in seeing graduates struggle with unemployment.

According to Dee, his brother’s words were so hurtful that he was moved to tears.

“I was trying to explain the importance of education to my brother so he could pay for his son’s NECO. He looked at me and asked, ‘Meye karatun ya tsinana maka?’ – meaning ‘What has education done for you?’ Ya Allah, I couldn’t hold back the tears,” Dee wrote.
