She revealed that her former husband physically assaulted her on multiple occasions, including the day before their wedding and even on the wedding day itself.
According to her, the incidents occurred while she was preparing for the ceremony, with people around as witnesses.
In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, she explained that the violence was often triggered by minor disagreements, such as not completing simple household tasks, and that it happened openly in the presence of her friends and her chief bridesmaid.
She recounted that she was assaulted even as she made her way to the altar, despite the presence of witnesses, adding that the abuse was not hidden but occurred in public.
Blessing Okoro was previously married to Onyeka Lucky, but the marriage ended after about two years. During the union, she had two sons with her former husband, named Darel Lucky Okoh and Bryan Dgreat.
