Nwobu died in the early hours of Monday, November 24.

In a video posted on Instagram, Daddy Billy revealed that Nwobu had been fighting for his life and had been on medication for three days before his sudden death.

According to him, Nwobu, who had forgotten to take his prescribed medication before a night out at a club, began showing alarming symptoms. “We later received another call saying Odira’s heart was beating fast again. From there, he was gone,” Billy recalled.

He explained that Nwobu had suffered a severe attack days earlier, during which his heart was beating visibly fast. He was rushed to a pharmacy where his blood pressure was measured at 171, shocking the pharmacist, who warned that any delay could have resulted in a stroke or instant death. Medication was administered, and Nwobu reportedly stabilized.

However, on Sunday, he failed to take his blood pressure tablets. Billy said Nwobu complained of weakness later that evening, and even during a short walk, he expressed fatigue, though no one suspected the seriousness of the symptoms or remembered his medication.

Despite feeling unwell, Nwobu later joined friends at a club, where he appeared to be in good spirits and even recorded videos. After everyone parted ways and he returned to his apartment, a distress call soon followed, indicating that his heart was racing again. Moments later, he passed away.
