He Wasn’t Tired After All — Woman Reveals Why Husband Followed Her To A Dinner Date
A woman identified as @adanonso on X, formerly known as Twitter, has shared the amusing circumstances surrounding how her husband eventually joined her for a dinner date after initially turning down her invitation.
According to Bush Radio Academy, the woman revealed in a widely circulated post that she had initially suggested that she and her husband go on a dinner date, but he declined, telling her that he was tired.
However, the situation changed after she informed him that she would be responsible for the expenses.
She said her husband immediately changed his outfit and got ready to join her for the outing. According to her account, he appeared to make the most of the opportunity once they arrived at the restaurant.
The woman said her husband ordered whatever he wanted, including appetizers and drinks, without holding back.
She further explained that when the waiter eventually brought the bill, it was initially presented to her husband. Rather than paying, he directed the waiter to take the bill to his wife.
The incident led the woman to jokingly conclude that after years of spending her husband’s money, he may have been looking forward to an opportunity to enjoy a meal at her expense.
The post subsequently generated reactions from X users, with many people sharing humorous takes on the couple’s interaction.
One user, King Resilience, suggested that the husband had taken advantage of the opportunity to get some form of financial payback, while Oluwatosin joked that his earlier claim of being tired may have been linked to avoiding the expense of the date.
Another commenter, Tallone, questioned whether the woman was presenting herself as generous after benefiting from her husband’s money over the years.
Monisola, however, viewed the situation more positively, describing the woman’s gesture as something many spouses would appreciate and encouraging couples to embrace such moments when they arise.
