On July 12, 2022, while pursuing her Higher National Diploma in food technology at Ilaro Polytechnic, Ajibade was involved in a life-altering accident. Returning to school for the second semester, she collided with a car while on a bike. Despite initial hesitation from onlookers, a friend eventually came to her aid, ensuring she received medical attention. The person responsible for the accident, however, proved to be less supportive, later deceiving her about selling his car to contribute to her medical expenses.

Ajibade’s journey took a more challenging turn when she discovered her leg required amputation upon reaching the Orthopaedic Hospital in Igbobi, Lagos State, on September 12, 2022. Despite the emotional toll, she underwent surgery and subsequent procedures, extending her hospital stay to over three months.

The person responsible for the accident, unfortunately, distanced himself after the amputation, leaving Ajibade to bear the financial burden alone. Despite the lack of support from close ones and financial constraints, Ajibade found solace in sharing her journey on TikTok, where followers provided encouragement.

Ajibade faced physical and emotional challenges, grappling with the reality of a life-altering injury. Depression and financial constraints hindered her recovery, impacting her ability to resume education. Facing insults and humiliation from close individuals, Ajibade chose resilience, adopting the username ‘Sexy one leg’ on TikTok to embrace her strength and deter unnecessary criticism.

Despite the hardships, Ajibade remains determined to overcome her challenges and build a future as a content creator and influencer. Her story serves as a testament to resilience, showcasing the strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity. With a positive outlook and unwavering faith, Ajibade believes that, with God, all things are possible on her path to recovery and success.
