Reacting during a church service to the recent slaughter of over 200 residents in Yelwata community, Pastor Enenche described the attack as one of the most horrifying massacres in Nigeria’s recent history.

He voiced his concerns on Monday night during the Commanding The Day Midnight Prayers, emphasizing that the recurrence of such atrocities reflects a deep-rooted crisis within the nation.

“There’s a dark cloud hanging over our land — a torrent of bloodshed and an atmosphere of despair,” he said. “It is evident we are dealing with beings who are devoid of humanity. They may appear human, but they are agents of the devil in disguise.”

Enenche revealed that he was attending the European Fire Conference in the Czech Republic when he learned of the attack, where innocent lives — including children — were not only murdered but also burned alive.

“These monsters are beyond cruel. A human being, even without conscience, should have mercy on children,” he lamented.

The pastor extended heartfelt condolences on behalf of his church to the people of Yelwata, the wider Benue community, and all Nigerians grieving this tragedy.

He further condemned the silence and inaction of both government and citizens, calling out systemic failure:

“As a nation, something is fundamentally broken. Where are our leaders? Will the National and State Assemblies continue to carry on like it’s business as usual? Will the military sit idly by while citizens are butchered?”

He added, “We have a military that has been effective in missions abroad. Is it that they lack the will — or are they being restrained?”

Calling for immediate action, Enenche concluded:
“The time is now. Let whatever must be done, be done. Let the agents of hell be flushed out and sent back to where they came from — without delay.”
