He clarified that his current political stance stems from a commitment to Nigeria’s development rather than loyalty to individual personalities or parties.

Omokri argued that President Tinubu is delivering on PDP’s long-standing promises, such as the removal of fuel subsidies, the floating of the naira, devolution of power, and the implementation of student loans.

“Yes, I support President Bola Tinubu, and I do so unapologetically,” he declared. “He is executing the very reforms we in the PDP pledged to implement.”

He further remarked, “What matters is progress for Nigeria, not the party that achieves it. Whether it is APC or PDP, as long as the policies move the nation forward, I will offer my support.”

Responding to accusations of betrayal, Omokri defended his integrity, emphasizing that despite his political realignment, he has remained loyal and discreet.

“In all my years working toward Waziri Atiku’s vision, I have never compromised confidential information, and I never will,” he asserted. “Even after the events of 2023, no one can accuse me of exploiting such trust for personal gain.”

He expressed disappointment at the backlash from Atiku’s associates, despite maintaining respect and silence in the face of criticism.

“To attack me when I’ve never spoken negatively about Waziri or his close circle is deeply unfair,” Omokri said. “Nonetheless, I will not retaliate in kind.”

He concluded by reaffirming that his restraint should not be mistaken for weakness.

“I accept the insults without retaliation—not because I’m afraid, but because I respect past relationships,” he said. “Still, I stand firm in my support for President Tinubu.”
