In a statement, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, spokesperson of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), revealed that the air component of Operation Fansan Yamma Sector 1 carried out coordinated precision airstrikes from June 24 to 26, 2025, in support of ground troops, specifically targeting terrorist groups behind recent violence in Niger State.

He disclosed that on June 26, based on actionable intelligence and robust inter-agency cooperation, NAF identified terrorist operations linked to cattle rustling and attacks in the Kakihun and Kumbashi areas.

NAF forces swiftly mobilized and launched multiple precision air raids that neutralized large numbers of terrorists, dismantled their supply lines, and disrupted regrouping plans.

Ejodame highlighted that the mission underscored the Air Force’s rapid deployment capabilities, operational efficiency, and strong collaboration with other security outfits. He assured Nigerians of NAF’s steadfast resolve to defend the nation and restore peace across all regions.
