Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court is set to announce the verdict in a case initiated by the governor to contest the accusations made against him.

A notice regarding the judgment delivery has indicated that the judgment for the case with the reference FHC/ABJ/CS/1611/2023 will be issued in a matter of hours.

As of the time of preparing this report, the governor’s supporters have gathered at the courtroom to observe the legal proceedings.

Before his official inauguration on May 29, Governor Mbah filed a lawsuit against the NYSC and its Director, Corps Certification, Ibrahim Muhammad. This lawsuit was in response to the NYSC’s disclaimer, in which they denied issuing a discharge certificate to him on January 6, 2003.

On May 15, Justice Ekwo had issued an injunction that prevented the NYSC, Muhammad, and their representatives from making any further publications of this nature until the substantive case had been heard and decided.
