The agency announced this via a post on X, highlighting the need to fill Officer I and Officer II roles in various locations across Nigeria.

FIRS encourages applications from women, minorities, and persons with disabilities. Available positions span eight states: Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, Ekiti, Lagos, and Oyo. Candidates should be aware that they must be prepared to work in any FIRS business location, regardless of their initial preferences.

To qualify, applicants must meet several criteria. They should be 27 years old or younger by December 31, 2024, and have completed their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) by December 31, 2021, at the latest. A Bachelor’s Degree (or HND) in First Class or Second Class Upper Division is required in relevant fields such as Accounting, Actuarial Science, Business Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Economics, Law, Mathematics, and Statistics. Additional qualifications like relevant master’s degrees and professional affiliations (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, COREN, NSE) will be advantageous.

The selection process will involve multiple assessment stages. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further evaluations, which may include aptitude tests, interviews, and medical examinations.

FIRS urges candidates to use official application channels and warns against fraudulent recruitment schemes. All applications should be submitted through the official portal: www.firs.gov.ng/careers. The application deadline is November 14, 2024. Candidates are advised to submit only one application for their preferred location, as multiple applications are not allowed.
