Osimhen picked up a yellow card in the encounter, his fifth booking of the campaign, which automatically rules him out of next weekend’s Istanbul derby at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium.

Despite the suspension, the striker played a key role in Galatasaray’s title-winning celebration, scoring twice as the club secured a fourth consecutive Turkish Süper Lig title. The triumph also marked Osimhen’s second league title with the Turkish giants.

Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk will now look to guide the team to a strong finish to the season without the Nigerian star.

Speaking during an Instagram live session after the match, Osimhen praised former Galatasaray stars Fernando Muslera and Felipe Melo for their support and influence.

He described Muslera as a devoted club legend who continues to inspire the squad even while away from the team, adding that he deeply appreciates the care and encouragement he received from the veteran goalkeeper.

Osimhen also sent a strong message to Galatasaray’s rivals following the title success, insisting the club would remain dominant next season despite challenges from teams like Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor.

According to him, Galatasaray are ready to defend their crown again next season and remain determined to maintain their dominance in Istanbul and Turkish football overall.
