The declaration was made over the weekend during a political rally where residents also pledged support for APC governorship hopeful Obafemi Hamzat and Lagos State House of Assembly member Noheem Adams.

The event was attended by members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Central Working Committee in Eti-Osa, led by Murphy Adetoro, a Governance Advisory Council (GAC) member, alongside local government chairmen, ward leaders, traditional rulers, and representatives of the Lekki Residents Association. The group had earlier endorsed Adams as the consensus candidate for the constituency.

Speaking at the gathering, the APC Central Working Committee declared that there was “no vacancy” at both the presidency and the Lagos State House of Assembly, while reaffirming its backing for Hamzat as the likely successor to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Adetoro praised party unity in the area, noting that the committee and local council leaders had already written to the party leadership endorsing Adams as their preferred candidate.

He said the gathering served as a show of strength ahead of the primaries, adding that the group remains fully committed to Tinubu’s re-election based on what they described as his achievements.

“We are publicly affirming our support for President Tinubu, whose performance speaks for itself,” he said, adding that preparations were already underway to ensure victory for Hamzat and Adams.

Former lawmaker Yahaya Dosunmu also expressed optimism that the next Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly could emerge from the constituency, praising the level of political mobilization and unity among residents.

Similarly, President of the Lekki Estates Residents and Stakeholders Association (LERSA), Sulyman Bello, described Adams as a unifying figure who enjoys widespread support across Eti-Osa, saying his contributions have made him indispensable to the constituency.

In his remarks, Noheem Adams appreciated the endorsement from party leaders and constituents, describing it as motivation to do more if re-elected.

He also credited President Tinubu for key infrastructure projects in the area, particularly the coastal road, which he said had strengthened public support for the administration.
