Hunkuyi Makes Stunning Political U-Turn, Reveals Why He Rejoined APC
Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi has attributed his return to the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the efforts of Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Hunkuyi, alongside former Governor Mukhtar Yero and Shehu Sani, among other key political figures in the state, defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) back to the ruling APC.
The former senator of the 8th Assembly blamed ex-Governor Nasir El-Rufai for his initial departure from the APC, commending Governor Sani for reconciling with those who were “pushed out of the party” under El-Rufai’s leadership.
He emphasized that he was one of the founding members of the APC in Kaduna but was sidelined due to El-Rufai’s leadership style, which forced him and others to exit the party.
“I was a founding member of the APC in Kaduna, but at some point, the driver of the vehicle applied the brakes and asked some of us to step out. We left without resistance. However, we thank Governor Uba Sani for retracing our steps and bringing us back into the party,” Hunkuyi stated.
According to The Nation, he praised Governor Sani as a fair and inclusive leader who successfully facilitated their return to the APC.
