In a statement signed by National Coordinator Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko, HURIWA condemned the exclusion of the FCT Ministry from the TSA, describing it as an arbitrary action that elevates Wike’s influence within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Despite serving under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Wike has maintained significant sway over PDP matters. He has previously stated that the FCT Administration is not bound by the TSA, claiming that Tinubu has provided him with all necessary support for his role as minister.

HURIWA warned that this exclusion sets a dangerous precedent, jeopardizing fiscal accountability and fueling suspicions that the APC is manipulating key PDP figures like Wike to sabotage the opposition. The group asserted that this strategy aims to fragment and weaken the PDP, facilitating the APC’s consolidation of power and advancing a potential one-party state.
