I Don’t Wish It On You’: Genevieve Nnaji Responds To Age-Shaming Backlash

An user recently reacted to Genevieve’s post on Thursday, April 3, 2025, by suggesting that the actress could not escape the effects of aging, stating, “You really cannot cheat nature. My fine wine is finally growing old.”

Genevieve responded by saying that things could get even worse as she would eventually grow so old that she would die if she were fortunate. She wrote, “It gets worse, bro. I’ll get so old I’ll die. If I’m lucky.”

When another troll referred to her as “mummy,” implying she was getting old, Genevieve quickly shut him down with a witty reply, saying, “Daddy, I don’t wish it on you.”

In another development, veteran actor Segun Arinze has revealed that he and fellow actor Emeka Ike have resolved their past differences. Speaking with QEDNG, Arinze explained that their conflict, which began over a leadership dispute within the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) in 2009, naturally faded over time.

Arinze emphasized that they now share a good relationship and often laugh about the past. He noted, “Emeka Ike is a fine actor. We still talk; we laugh about those things. It doesn’t change the fact that he is a fine actor.”
