I Have Nothing To My Name — Man Cries Out Over Living With Parents At 27

A 27-year-old man has sparked emotional reactions online after breaking down in a viral video while expressing frustration over unemployment, financial dependence and social isolation.

In the video shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, the man described feeling left behind in life, revealing that he still lives with his parents, has no source of income and struggles to maintain meaningful social relationships.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the young man said he would turn 27 in November but felt he had made little progress towards achieving independence and building the life he desired.

“I’m 27 years old, I’ll be 27 in November, and I still live under my parents’ roof. With absolutely nothing going on in my life,” he said.

He identified unemployment, financial difficulties and loneliness as some of his biggest challenges, explaining that he had no girlfriend, few social connections and nobody he felt comfortable speaking to about his struggles.

The man also showed viewers the room where he lives with his parents, using his living conditions to illustrate his frustration over his inability to become financially independent.

He disclosed that his father had bought his bed, pillow and other belongings, while the covering he uses at night belonged to his mother. According to him, these circumstances reinforced his feeling that he had nothing of his own.

“It’s absolutely nothing to my name,” he lamented.

The young man further described feeling disconnected from society and worried that time was passing without any meaningful improvement in his circumstances.

“I feel like my life is wasting away. I’m not informed, I’m isolated. I feel outstated from everything in life,” he said.

He explained that he had been attempting to find solutions to his problems on his own, but the experience of dealing with his challenges in isolation had become increasingly difficult.

“I’ve been trying to figure things out on my own in isolation but it’s not working. It’s not fucking working, I’m fucking tired,” he added.

As the video progressed, the man struggled to contain his emotions, repeatedly expressing exhaustion and uncertainty about how to move forward.

“I can’t take this anymore, man. I’m fucking tired. I can’t continue to endure, man, I can’t continue to endure,” he said.

The video has drawn attention to the emotional challenges that unemployment, financial dependence and social isolation can create for young adults trying to establish themselves.

His account has also highlighted the pressure some young people experience when they compare their personal circumstances with societal expectations about employment, financial independence and relationships.

The circumstances surrounding the man’s situation and the steps he may take to improve his condition remain unclear.
