In an interview on Monday, Ndume had expressed concerns that President Tinubu’s appointments were imbalanced, unconstitutional, and ignored the principles of federal character.

In response, Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to the President on Policy Communication, accused Ndume of speaking out of frustration.

On his handle on Tuesday, the former Chief Whip of the Senate clarified that his remarks were not made out of frustration. He reiterated that the President still has an opportunity to correct the disparities in his appointments.

Ndume emphasized that the appointments did not reflect the unity and inclusivity promised under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

“I am raising a legitimate concern regarding the lopsidedness in federal appointments by President Tinubu. These appointments violate Section 14(3) of the Nigerian Constitution and contradict the inclusivity promised by the Renewed Hope Agenda.

“Those attacking me personally are missing the point. My statements are made out of love for Nigeria and my responsibility as a Senator. President Tinubu still has the chance to rectify this imbalance. We must create a Nigeria where every region feels represented,” he wrote.
