Andrew Edobor Uzamere, the lawmaker representing Ovia North East Constituency II in the Edo State House of Assembly, has firmly declared his unwavering commitment to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stating he will never defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Uzamere, while presenting his two-year performance report, emphasized that the mandate entrusted to him by his constituents is sacred and not something he would ever betray for personal gain.

“I hold the mandate of my people in the highest regard. I was elected on the platform of the PDP, and that platform remains dear to me. To abandon it for selfish reasons would be a betrayal of trust and integrity,” he said.

Speaking to journalists, Uzamere underscored his dedication to all residents of Ovia North East Constituency II, regardless of political affiliation, but insisted his allegiance to the PDP remains unshaken.

“I cannot trade my integrity for a mere bowl of porridge,” he declared. “I won my seat on the PDP platform and, God willing, I can win again—even in uncertain political times.”

Commenting on the internal crises facing the PDP, Uzamere expressed optimism that the party would soon recover from its challenges.

“What PDP is going through is part of the political process—typical intrigues and tensions among leaders. I believe that before the 2027 elections, PDP will come out stronger. Every political party has its struggles, and ours will pass too,” he added.
