In a recent statement signed by Managing Director Mr. Kingsley Achife, the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) Plc cautioned customers against assaulting its staff, emphasizing that such actions now carry the risk of imprisonment. The warning was issued in Ilorin on Tuesday.
Achife reassured customers that IBEDC’s technical teams remain dedicated to swiftly addressing any faults that may arise during this period. He urged customers to lodge complaints at IBEDC offices or call the customer care line at 07001239999 instead of resorting to violence.
Additionally, Achife highlighted the dangers of tampering with electrical installations, emphasizing the potential for electrical accidents. He extended felicitations to Muslims and all Nigerians on the occasion of Eid-El-Fitr, underlining the importance of the season’s sacrifice in promoting love and selflessness for Nigeria’s prosperity.
Amidst the holiday season, Achife reiterated IBEDC’s commitment to providing quality service and urged communities to safeguard their electrical installations, reporting any suspected acts of vandalism.
Customers were encouraged to utilize IBEDC’s hassle-free payment channels for bill settlements and vending to avoid disconnection. These channels include the IBEDCPAY app for Android and iOS users, FetsWallet, Quickteller, Payarena, Jumia, Watu, Buypower, and ATM.
IBEDC offices will remain open during public holidays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to address customer needs, with inquiries also welcome via email at customercare@ibedc.com.
