I’d Never Do That! Eedris Abdulkareem Reveals Why He Won’t Allow Any Woman Give Birth For Him

The 51-year-old artist, famous for his hit song Mr Lecturer, noted that the divine foundation of his marriage is evident in their 20-year journey together—highlighting how his wife once donated one of her kidneys to save his life.

He said, “I met my wife on September 18, 2003. We got married on December 11, 2004. Every step I took was based on God’s direction. Now, 20 years later, God reminded me of our covenant and showed me again why He chose her for me. God gave me my own wife—not someone else’s. Why would I be foolish enough to let another woman have a child for me?”

Although he acknowledged that African culture and Islam allow polygamy, Abdulkareem argued for honesty and realism, insisting that no man can love multiple women equally.

“Truly, as Africans, polygamy is accepted. Even Islam permits it if you can love all your wives equally. But let’s be sincere—it is impossible to love different women the same way. You can only truly love one.

“Secondly, as men, we should use wisdom. If you want a long life, let only one woman bear your children. If you want a sweet, peaceful life, let it be just one woman.”
