The incident occurred after Nigeria’s convincing victory, when Osimhen and Lookman were seen exchanging words on the pitch before teammates intervened.

Taking to social media, Tacha urged Nigerians to remain calm and stop attacking the Napoli forward. She argued that Osimhen should be regarded as one of Nigeria’s biggest football stars, comparable to global icons like Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to her, if Ronaldo had behaved in a similar manner on the pitch, it would not have generated the same level of outrage.

Tacha also expressed confidence in Osimhen’s commitment to the national team, stating that the clash was fueled by passion and his desire to win.

She criticised fans who she said were quick to dismiss the striker, urging Nigerians to support their players rather than tear them down.

Going further, Tacha challenged Osimhen’s critics by suggesting that the coach bench him in the next match so people can truly appreciate his importance to the team’s attacking strength.

She wrote:
“Nigerians and see finish!! Y’all realize Victor Osimhen is our own Cristiano Ronaldo?? If Ronaldo did same thing we won’t have this much uproar but of course it’s Osimhen… make coach just bench Osimhen for the next match, I wan check something.”
