IGP Egbetokun has instructed the comprehensive enforcement of the Gunshot Victims Act of 2017, responding to the persistent appeals from concerned citizens and the wider community regarding the tragic loss of lives resulting from the neglect of individuals suffering from gunshot wounds and accidents.
He stated, “This directive is in line with the full implementation of the Compulsory Treatment and Care for Victims of Gunshot Act of 2017, which mandates that all healthcare providers prioritize the immediate care and stabilization of such patients, acknowledging the critical significance of timely medical attention in saving lives.
