I’ll Choose You Again – Tinubu Pens Emotional Birthday Message To Wife Oluremi

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has celebrated his wife, First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her 66th birthday, describing her as his “truest friend and confidante” and praising her for standing by him through difficult and uncertain periods.

In a heartfelt birthday message issued on Monday, September 21, 2026, Tinubu reflected on his years with the First Lady, highlighting her patience, courage, honesty, prayers and counsel throughout their journey together. The State House published the message as part of the President’s birthday tribute to his wife.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Tinubu said Oluremi had remained a source of support during challenging moments, noting that she often understood when he needed counsel even before he asked for it. He also praised her willingness to offer him honest advice, including at times when he might not have wanted to hear it.

The President said the First Lady’s influence extended beyond their family, noting her charitable activities and support for vulnerable Nigerians. He specifically referenced her work through the New Era Foundation in Lagos and the Renewed Hope Initiative, saying her efforts had reached young people, widows, elderly citizens and women farmers.

Tinubu also acknowledged the role of faith and prayer in their family, saying their children and grandchildren had grown under the influence of Oluremi’s values of faith and kindness.

Reflecting on their long relationship, the President said their journey had included difficult decisions, sacrifices, laughter and prayer. He added that if he had the opportunity to start life again, he would still choose the same path that brought them together.

“Happy 66th birthday, my darling Oluremi. I pray that God Almighty will grant you many more years in good health and joy,” Tinubu said in his message.

He also prayed that the years ahead would bring the First Lady the same comfort and happiness she had given him and many others.
