The former Anambra State Governor clarified that he is not in any alliance or joint ticket discussion with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar or any other politician.

“I have not entered any discussion about a joint ticket, not even with Atiku. However, if any coalition agreement limits me to a single four-year term, I will honour it and vacate office by May 29, 2031,” Obi asserted.

He acknowledged being involved in coalition talks, emphasizing that his motivation is solely the urgency to rebuild Nigeria.

“If the coalition is not focused on ending killings in Benue and Zamfara, reviving the economy, boosting industrial productivity, and putting food on Nigerian tables—count me out. Nigeria is in crisis and must be fixed,” Obi stressed.

He called on Nigerians to join him in the mission to rescue the nation, assuring that he would bring stability within two years if elected.

“I will stabilise Nigeria within two years. Nigeria’s leaders need to stay within the country and fix it,” he added.

On internal party matters, Obi revealed ongoing efforts to ensure that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) recognises the Nenadi Usman-led faction of the Labour Party, in line with a recent Supreme Court ruling.

Reaffirming his belief in power rotation, Obi said,

“I support the rotation of power between North and South. I practiced it as governor in Anambra.”

He argued that equitable representation is essential to Nigeria’s stability and unity.

Obi also criticised President Bola Tinubu for his recent extended visit to St Lucia, calling it an example of misplaced priorities.

“In two years, President Tinubu has not spent a night in any Nigerian state outside Lagos, yet he is spending eight nights in St Lucia— a country smaller than Ajegunle and about the size of Ilorin,” Obi remarked.

On his preparations for 2027, Obi declared:

“We’ll approach the 2027 elections differently—non-violently, but firmly. We’ll demand transparency before results are announced in Abuja. Our votes will count, and we’ll make sure they do.”

He outlined three core focus areas for his first 100 days in office:

  1. Security

  2. Education

  3. Poverty eradication

He also promised to cut costs, combat corruption, and keep his family away from public funds.

“My administration will support a strong opposition and will not tolerate elected officials defecting to other parties. We will lead with integrity and accountability,” Obi concluded.
