I’ll Slap Your Left Ear’ — Frank Edoho Reveals Sh*cking Response After Son Called Him ‘Dude
Popular Nigerian television presenter Frank Edoho has shared a humorous parenting experience, revealing how he reacts whenever his son casually addresses him as “dude.”
Edoho spoke about the incident during an appearance on the Eden Oasis YouTube channel on Monday, where he discussed parenting, family dynamics and the differences between his generation and Gen Z.
The former Who Wants To Be A Millionaire host said his son, like many young people today, often uses informal expressions when speaking to him, a habit he believes reflects the changing nature of parent-child relationships.
According to Edoho, he jokingly corrects his son each time he calls him “dude,” noting that their playful exchanges usually end with the youngster asking him for money.
He said the experience highlights how much attitudes toward respect and communication have evolved compared to when he was growing up.
Edoho added that using such a casual term for his own father would have been unthinkable in his childhood and would likely have attracted severe punishment.
“Hey dude. Hey dude. Who’s dude? I’ll slap your left ear. You a dude, man. What are you talking about? You’re dressing like us. You are doing this. I want dude, I want some money. Okay, I don’t have money, but stop calling me dude. If I call my father dude by now, I’ll have paralysis in my left ear,” he said.
