I’m Revealing Everything Adeyemi Told Me’ — VDM Demands Arrest Of Budget Office DG

Social media personality and activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has reacted to the arrest of Adeniyi Adeyemi, the self-styled Director-General of the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC), alleging that the suspect shared sensitive information with him before his arrest.

In a video posted on his Instagram page, VDM claimed Adeyemi confided in him about how the controversial agency allegedly found its way into the national budget with the backing of influential figures in government.

The activist said he was prepared to make public the conversations he had with Adeyemi, arguing that it would be unfair for him to bear sole responsibility for the alleged activities surrounding the controversial agency.

“The PFIPC DG that was arrested revealed a lot of things to me in confidence, and I think it is time for me to post those things. He told me how PFIPC got into the national budget with the help of some people in power,” VDM claimed.

According to him, Adeyemi should not be made the only person to answer for the matter, insisting that others allegedly connected to the issue should also be investigated.

“I am revealing everything now because it looks like they want him alone to take the fall, which doesn’t make sense. Prince Adeniyi Matthew didn’t act alone, and I also want to say he is just a victim of a corrupt system that might have been going on for decades,” he alleged.

VDM further called on authorities to investigate the Budget Office and demanded the arrest of its Director-General, arguing that the probe should extend beyond Adeyemi.

“I am calling for the arrest of the DG of Budget and also a deep investigation of the entire Budget Office. This matter should not end with Adeniyi Matthew taking the fall alone,” he said.

The social media critic also referenced the reported ₦15 billion lawsuit filed by the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, against Adeyemi over the alleged use of his name in the controversy.

While acknowledging Gbajabiamila’s position, VDM claimed that Adeyemi had implicated other government officials and insisted they should also face investigation.

He also called for the resignation and prosecution of officials he believes should be held accountable, including the Director-General of the Budget Office, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and other officials allegedly connected to the matter.

According to VDM, genuine accountability requires a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the PFIPC saga rather than focusing solely on one individual.

The allegations made by VDM have not been independently verified, and the officials mentioned have not publicly responded to his latest claims.
