Actress Adanma Luke has pleaded with Nigerians for forgiveness following the tragic deaths of actor Junior Pope and four other crew members.

Adanma has faced severe backlash online since April when the actor and the four crew members died in a boat accident while on their way to her movie set.

In a video shared on her social media page this afternoon, Adanma expressed that she is struggling emotionally due to the relentless online criticism from Nigerians who hold her responsible for the deaths.

“I’m sorry this had to happen to me. I’m not God, but please, put yourself in my shoes. It’s not easy for me, and believe me, I still need your prayers,” she said.
