Illbliss highlighted the contribution of Igbo traders in Lagos, noting that they play a major role in commerce and have significantly boosted the state’s economy despite not being indigenes.

He added that the city’s economic activities would look very different without their involvement in trade and other business sectors.

The rapper also expressed concern over the persistence of tribal and religious divisions in Nigeria, despite decades of coexistence among its people.

According to him, these divisions continue to hinder national unity and mutual acceptance.

He said: “The Igbos have contributed immensely to the Lagos economy in terms of trade and commerce. I often wonder what the city would be like if every Igbo person left. It’s surprising to still hear comments like, ‘If you’re not from Lagos State, go back to your state.’

We really have no reason not to accommodate one another as a country, yet we remain affected by tribalism, ethnicity, and religious divides.
