According to reports, an unidentified individual raised concerns about the disappearance of his manhood after encountering Mubarak.
In response to this allegation, a crowd gathered around Mubarak and began assaulting him in an attempt to restore the allegedly missing manhood.
A resident of the area, who spoke on condition of anonymity in an interview with Punch on Friday, revealed that the situation escalated as the mob refused to release Mubarak to the police, even after about five policemen arrived at the scene to rescue him. The mob’s anger eventually turned towards the policemen, leading to the destruction of their vehicle.
The resident expressed concern about the escalating issue of manhood-related incidents and the tense atmosphere in the area. They emphasized the need to address this issue.
Josephine Adeh, the FCT police spokesperson, confirmed the incident and added that the police officers sent to rescue Mubarak were also attacked by the mob. Adeh stated that reinforcements were dispatched, and calm has been restored to the area, allowing law-abiding citizens to carry on with their activities without fear.
