In a heartfelt message on Nigeria’s 64th Independence Anniversary, the Honorable Minister of Niger Delta Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, FNSE, extended his congratulations to the resilient people of the Niger Delta and all Nigerians.
Momoh emphasized the importance of reflecting on the immense potential of the Niger Delta region, which he described as the economic heartbeat of Nigeria due to its vast oil and gas resources. He acknowledged the responsibility that comes with such potential and assured the public of the government’s commitment to transforming the region under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
The Minister outlined key priorities for sustainable development, including infrastructure development, investment in human capital, and the creation of opportunities for economic diversification aimed at empowering youth and women.
He highlighted that strategic projects are already underway, encompassing roads, bridges, healthcare, and education facilities, all designed to improve the quality of life for residents and set a foundation for a prosperous future aligned with the aspirations of the people.
