As of the time of reporting, the official announcement for the commencement of Collation in Kogi State is pending.
Although the Kogi Collation Centre is prepared to receive election results from the state’s 21 LGAs, the exercise is likely to kick off tomorrow (Sunday), according to an INEC official.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has halted the ongoing election in certain locations in Kogi State.
This decision was conveyed by the National Commissioner & Member of the Information and Voter Education Committee, Mohammed Kudu Haruna, in a statement on Saturday night.
The suspension is attributed to incidents of malpractices, notably the completion of results sheets before voting commenced.
