In a post on her social media page, she admitted that although she sometimes thinks about leaving the country, she feels unable to do so because her loved ones are still here.
She wrote: “Even if I can leave!!! I have families here for God’s sake. This is my home!!! This is where I am from.”
Her reaction follows the recent killings in Kwara State and the abduction of schoolgirls in Kebbi State—incidents that have intensified the sense of insecurity across the country.
Meanwhile, less than 24 hours after gunmen attacked a Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eruku, Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, another assault occurred, with armed groups kidnapping four rice farmers in Bokungi Village, Edu LGA.
According to information obtained by SaharaReporters, the attack happened on Wednesday evening while the victims were harvesting rice on their farms.
A community source confirmed the incident, saying the gunmen appeared unexpectedly and surrounded the farmers.
“It has been confirmed that bandits struck again at Bokungi under the Lafiagi Emirate. Four people were abducted. More details are still coming in,” the source said.
