Dare emphasised that the main objectives of any rescue operation are the safe recovery of victims and the arrest of the perpetrators behind the abduction.

He maintained that the Federal Government would not disclose the operational strategies used in such missions, adding, “The full details of such operations are never disclosed in full. It’s a security matter.”

His clarification follows reports that the Department of State Services and the military had made contact with the kidnappers during negotiations.
