A faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has announced the appointment of Senator Mao Ohuabunwa as Chairman of its reconstituted Board of Trustees (BoT).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The faction also named Isah Dansidi as Secretary of the new BoT, replacing former Kaduna State governor Ahmed Makarfi.

As earlier reported by Naija News, the group declared the dissolution of the existing BoT led by former Senate President Adolphus Wabara.

The announcement was made during a meeting held at Wike’s residence in Life Camp, Abuja, where the factional Acting National Chairman, Abdulrahman Muhammad, inaugurated the new board.

Speaking before the meeting went into a closed session, Muhammad explained that the decision to dissolve the Wabara-led BoT was taken to “restore constitutional order and moral direction” within the party.

He accused the Wabara-led board of losing the “moral balance expected of that noble institution,” citing Wabara’s alleged suspension by the Abia State PDP for anti-party activities as making his continued leadership “untenable.”
