In order to win the governorship election of next year and future elections, Engineer Moses Omo-Ikirodah, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Edo State, has encouraged all party leaders to close ranks.

Moses Omo-Ikirodah made the remark while congratulating the PDP on its victory at the recently ended House of Assembly elections held in the state, which saw the party winning the majority seats at the assembly.

According to him, the poll results show that the PDP is still the party to beat in the state, and that if members of the party close ranks and work together as a team, the party will be victorious in all elections held in the state.

He said, “Congratulations to the PDP and the winners of the recently concluded HOA elections held in the State.

With the results announced by INEC, it is apparent that our party, the PDP, is still the party to beat in the state.

It is now time for our Party leaders to close its ranks and work as one indivisible team. The interest of the party is paramount and as such it is supreme. The party leaders must drop their egos, sit-down with each other, and chart a new course for the party.

We cannot allow ourselves to be blinded by individual ambition and miss out on the greater pie; the next gubernatorial election is right around the corner, and the party leaders must forget all that has transpired and work together; our house must be put in order as soon as possible.

Nigerians are tired of the status quo and need a breath of fresh air, which our party, the PDP, promises. We must set aside our pride and some of our prejudices in order to stand together; the PDP requires unity.”
