Speaking at a press conference in Yola, IPAC’s Adamawa State Chairman, Bello Babajo, denounced Ari’s remarks, describing them as an attempt to undermine both the judiciary and Nigeria’s democratic institutions.

Ari, in a widely circulated media briefing on February 10, alleged that Senator Aishatu Binani was the legitimate winner of the 2023 governorship election, contradicting the Supreme Court’s ruling, which upheld Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s victory.

IPAC condemned these statements as misleading and damaging to the credibility of Nigeria’s electoral system. Babajo accused Ari of deliberately spreading falsehoods to deceive the public and cause unnecessary confusion.

“Instead of acknowledging the facts, Hudu Ari shamelessly paraded fabricated election results, insisting on his false claims,” Babajo stated.

The council called on the Inspector General of Police to take immediate action by arresting Ari, stressing that he must be held accountable for attempting to disrupt Nigeria’s electoral process.

IPAC reaffirmed its dedication to free and fair elections, vowing to continue championing transparency and protecting the people’s mandate in future elections.
