IPoB stated that if ESN decides to respond to the alleged false labeling of Igbo youths as IPoB members and ESN operatives, the security forces will not be able to claim the arrest of IPoB and ESN members.

In a statement titled “The Purported Arrest of 80 IPoB Members and ESN Operatives by the Nigerian Military Is a Hoax,” IPoB’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, criticized the Nigerian Army for creating illusions about eliminating ESN operatives.

The statement also suggested that the Nigerian government and its security agencies are trying to eliminate Ndigbo, emphasizing that IPoB will persist in its quest to emancipate Biafra from Fulani herders and their collaborators in the military and police.

IPoB stated that the military presence in the East serves three main purposes: extortion from residents and motorists, providing a safe haven for alleged criminal infiltrators, and protecting Fulani herdsmen.

The statement concluded that ESN operatives remain disciplined and focused on their primary objective of ousting Fulani terrorists from Biafran farmlands and forests, reiterating that they do not engage with Nigeria’s security forces or partake in criminal activities.
