ISWAP Strikes Again: Six Nigerian Soldiers Killed In Ambush On Military BaseThe Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has confirmed that six soldiers were killed during an attack by Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) militants on a military base in Sabon Gari, Damboa district, Borno State. The attack occurred early on Sunday, with insurgents arriving in trucks and motorcycles, setting fire to the base and army vehicles. Military sources stated that after an intense firefight, reinforcements arrived, and 34 ISWAP militants were killed in retaliation.
