The event, titled “Youth, Religion, and the Fight against Corruption,” took place at the Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja. It also marked the launch of the Fraud Risk Assessment Project for Ministries, Departments, and Agencies by EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede.

During the discussion on corruption in the public sector, the Vice President, representing President Bola Tinubu, emphasized that JAMB’s revenue had never reached one million dollars for the Federal Government before Oloyede assumed office.

Aisha Yesufu voiced her concerns on Twitter, stating, “Let me say what I have said before. JAMB is not supposed to be a money-making organization. JAMB making 50bn means JAMB is overcharging students. I will even call it extortion of poor and vulnerable students and widening the educational inequality gap.”

Yesufu’s remarks highlight the need for fairness and affordability in the fees charged by educational institutions, particularly to ensure equal access to education for all students.
