In a statement released in Abuja by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, Jibrin commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its role in the successful conduct of the election. He also praised the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, for his visionary leadership, which, he said, has strengthened party unity and played a crucial role in the APC’s recent electoral successes in states like Ondo, Imo, Kogi, and Edo.

Jibrin stated, “The victory of our great party, the APC, in Saturday’s governorship election in Ondo State is well-deserved. I congratulate the governor-elect, H.E. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and all our supporters on this triumph. It is not just a win for the APC, but a victory for our democracy and the people of Ondo State.”

He added, “This victory is a further endorsement of our great party, the APC, and a reaffirmation of the confidence the people of Ondo have in the exemplary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

The Deputy Senate President, who is also the First Deputy Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, urged Aiyedatiwa to prioritize inclusivity and collaborate with all stakeholders to drive the development of Ondo State. He also called on opposition candidates to join efforts in advancing the state’s progress.
