Nigerian songstress, Teniola Apata, widely known as Teni, has issued a timely warning to women in anticipation of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final clash between Nigeria and Cote D’Ivoire.

In her update, she cautions ladies about potential invitations from men to watch the AFCON match at their homes and advises them to exercise caution before accepting such offers.

Teni suggests that some men may have ulterior motives, aiming to engage in intimate activities with women before Valentine’s Day, using the AFCON event as a convenient excuse.

She shares, “Ladies, here’s a little secret for you: The Valentine’s scam might kick off on the day Nigeria plays AFCON. ‘Come and watch AFCON at my place.’ They’ll take you to the room. They want to ‘do it’ before Valentine’s. They’re not interested in buying gifts; they’re using Nigeria AFCON.”
