Joshua Rises From The Canvas Twice To Deliver Devastating Knockout Against Prenga

According to BBC Sport, Joshua was forced to weather an early storm after Prenga came out aggressively, landing several powerful punches that sent the British boxer to the canvas twice in the opening round.

The early knockdowns sparked hopes of a major upset as Prenga briefly looked in complete control of the contest.

Joshua, however, relied on his composure and experience to regain momentum. After surviving the opening-round scare, he returned for the second round with renewed intensity, pressing forward and connecting with more accurate combinations.

The 36-year-old eventually sealed the victory with a crushing right hand that floored the Albanian heavyweight, prompting the referee to wave off the contest.

The win completed a remarkable turnaround for Joshua, who had looked vulnerable during the opening exchanges.

Reflecting on the victory, Joshua revealed that the performance meant far more than just another win inside the ring.

“It’s more than punch power. That was spirit, that was Latz, that was Sina, that was the family. It hurts to even talk about it. It has been tough,” Joshua said.

The former champion became visibly emotional before stepping away from the microphone. When he returned, he added, “It’s my brother. I don’t want to talk about it.”

The victory also renewed attention on a long-awaited showdown with fellow British heavyweight Tyson Fury.

Although there had been speculation that Fury might attend the event, the former WBC champion stayed away after previously insisting he would not be present. His absence came less than 24 hours after he recorded a tune-up victory over Mariusz Wach in Thailand.

Despite the rivalry, Joshua expressed admiration for Fury’s accomplishments and reiterated his desire to finally meet him in the ring.

“I respect everything he has done and everything that he has achieved, but as a fighting person, we’re here now. I hope the fans will be in for a lovely treat,” Joshua said.

Reports indicate that contracts have already been signed for the long-anticipated Joshua-Fury blockbuster, although organizers have yet to confirm the date and venue.
